Bruno Bettelheim

Bruno Bettelheim was an influential psychologist. On February 7, 1974 at a McGill University symposium on sexuality and with an audience of 500 people, he said that “Homosexual relations are always narcissistic — they involve an unconscious search for the self, instead of the other,” and that “… homosexuality is based on fear of the other sex.”
