George Smith coordinated a series of talks on gay liberation and Marxism in September 1979, sponsored by the Toronto Marxist Institute. As a chairperson of the Right To Privacy Committee (RTPC) he presented evidence of undercover police infiltrating gay demonstrations at an RTPC press conference on March 23, 1981.
