She formed the Fireweed Collective in February 1978, which began to publish a feminist journal also named Fireweed. The Collective’s intention was to represent the voices and stories as many women as possible, regardless of class, culture, or sexual orientation. The first issue of the journal was launched at a festival on 22-24 September 1978.
