Michael Cassidy

Michael Cassidy was a politician in the Ontario legislature and the leader of the Ontario NDP. He was also continually a supporter of gay rights. Cassidy supported proposed amendments to the Ontario Human Rights code that would add protection based on sexual orientation during the 70s and 80s. He also supported new lesgislative provisions that would protect people from eviction based on their sexual orientation.
