Peter Meggs was the vice-president of audience and public relations for the CBC, and hosted the radio programs Open House and Concern. In 1977 he confirmed to Halifax group Gay Alliance for Equality (GAE) that it was CBC’s policy to refuse controversial service announcements, which included homosexuality.
