They wrote a letter to the Body Politic on behalf of the Ontario Ministry of Culture and Recreation on 19 January 1978 stating that the newspaper had been dropped from the Ministry’s Halfback program, which allowed materials to be bought with credits from Wintario Lottery tickets. Obscenity charges had been laid against the Body Politic on 5 January of the same year.
