Avila Labelle was a Canadian Judge who tried a famous case in 1964 involving Québec MP Louis-Joseph Pigeon, who was charged with indecently assaulting an eighteen-year-old boy. The charge was dropped after Labelle found that there was not enough evidence to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
