Everett George Klippert was charged with several counts of committing gross indecency involving non-violent acts with consenting adult males in private, and was later sentenced for an indefinite amount of time as a dangerous sexual offender because of these accounts of non-violent acts. His case would lead Justice Minister Pierre Trudeau to make amendments to the criminal code in 1969, and Klippert was released on parole in 1971.
