William Davis

William “Bill” Davis was a Progressive Conservative politician who served as a Brampton MPP and as Premier of Ontario from 1971-1985. During his time as Premier, Davis did not show support for the liberation movement. He rejected the recommendation by gay organizations for a public inquiry to investigate potential improprieties of case handlings in the Ottawa Sex Scandal of 1975, and was Premier during the February 1981 bathhouse raids.
