Bob Gallagher was a gay rights activist. He represented the Right to Privacy Committee with John Bodis at a meeting with the Metropolitan Toronto Board of Police Commissioners in June 1981. Gallagher and Bodis conducted a presentation about police persecution of the gay community. He also acted as a representative of the Toronto Gay Community Council at a meeting with Police Chief Jack Ackroyd in December 1981.
