David Foreman

David Foreman was photographed kissing Tim McCaskell at Yonge and Bloor Stations to protest the arrest of two men kissing at the same place in July 1976. On July 19, 1977 he was was arrested alongside Bob Schisler for unlawfully distributing handbills (in this case posters for an anti-Anita Bryant protest), and they were both found guilty of wilful damage. They appealed the ruling, and had their sentences reduced from $300 to $100. In 1979, Foreman attempted to unionize the Richmond Street Health Emporium bathhouse, the first time this had been attempted with a steam bath in Canada. He was dismissed from the Emporium due to his efforts, and after filing a complaint he was given $900 in compensation.
