David Gibson was a long-standing contributor to the Body Politic, volunteering as a graphic designer. He was photographed kissing with Michael Riordon at Yonge and Bloor Stations to protest the arrest of two men kissing at the same place in July 1976. In 1978 he spoke at a forum on freedom of the press and The Body Politic.
