Dean Solomany was charged with gross indecency at the age of 20 when he was caught kissing Rick Holowaty in Queen Elizabeth Park in Edmonton on Dec. 3, 1976. GATE Edmonton started a Holowaty/Solomany Defence Fund to fight the charges.
