Edwin (Ed) Mirvish was a theatrical producer and entrepreneur who is famous for his “Honest Ed’s” discount department stores in Toronto. He was an influential patron of the arts, and is known for revitalizing theatre culture in Toronto by purchasing and refurbishing the Royal Alexandra Theatre.
