Edmund White

Edmund White was an American author who had an impact on the gay liberation movement. He co-wrote ‘The Joy of Gay Sex’ with Charles Silverstein in 1977. White formed a club called The Violet Quill in the 1970s along with six other gay New York writers, who would meet and critique each other’s work.
