She was spokesperson for the interim board for the proposed Gay People’s Community Centre in Vancouver. Representatives for almost thirty Vancouver-based organizations met to elect the interim board on 2 October 1979. She owned a gay bookstore, Passacaglia Books, which closed in December 1981 after she moved.
