He wrote a two-part article for the Body Politic on the pioneer for homosexual emancipation Karl Heinrich Ulrichs (#KULR) (1825-1895) in 1978, and then published a book on the subject in 1988. His book was entitled “Ulrichs: The Life and Works of Karl Heinrich Ulrichs, Pioneer of the Modern Gay Movement”.
