Jean-Marcel Paquette was a scholar, novelist, poet, and literary critic, most known for his works Le joual de Troie (1973), Hypatie ou la fin des dieux (1989), and Fractions 2 (1999). He was awarded the Prix ??Jean-Hamelin and the Prix ??Victor-Barbeau, and was a member of the Royal Society of Canada.
