Josée Yvon was a poet, writer, bartender, stage manager, lighting designer, and translator from Quebec. She was a co-founder of the Théâtre Sans Fil and published 15 books. Her work explored the stories of drug addicts, dancers, and sex workers, and the experiences of women and trans people living on the margins. She died of complications from AIDS at the age of 44.
