Linda Jain was a member of the lesbian rhythm and blues/rock band Mama Quilla II. She was a social service counsellor for Community Homophile Assoiation Toronto (CHAT), but resigned from the organization along with four other counsellors in1972, citing the organization’s limiting structure and conservative goals.
