Michel Tremblay is an award-winning Quebecois writer who has published primarily plays and fiction novels. His work sometimes included gay characters. He was appointed Officier de l’Ordre de France and Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Québec, and received a Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 1999.
