Ray Horton

Ray Horton was a school custodian in Vancouver. He established Gay People Together, a social group for gays, in Vancouver in 1972. In October 1979 he was fired from his job at Tupper High School after discussing his homosexuality with two male students. A demonstration was held in December to protest his firing, and in January 1980 he was invited to the B.C. Human Rights Branch to discuss the case.
